LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport maintains a clinical trials office to facilitate access to its patient population for approved clinical trials. The Health Sciences Center has over 32 years of experience in conducting clinical trials in 32 medical specialties, and offers clinical trials capabilities in over 100 therapeutic areas in Phase I-IV clinical trials and Gene Therapy trials. The Center offers a diverse patient population, including a large minority population and a new state-of-the-art Cancer Treatment Center.
